The travel restrictions imposed by the Japanese government on foreigners seem to have deep impact on the business community. Lack of reciprocity and unequal treatment between Japanese citizens and foreign and long-term permanent residents in Japan raises serious concerns and produces uncertainties.
The European Business Council (EBC) has been actively advocating this issue, among others by publishing a statement on May 15 which was also directed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; by organizing a closed door webinar to inform the foreign business community about the progress of the negotiations with the Japanese Government on May 19 ; and by voicing that issue at a FCCJ press conference on May 22 which was broadcasted by the NHK and reported by foreign media around the globe.
In order to better evaluate the impact of the travel restrictions on businesses and use the results for advocacy purposes, the EBC is launching another survey for all European companies in Japan. The more companies take part in the survey the more representative the results become. We therefore hope for your cooperation and support.
The survey is accessible through this link: https://fr.surveymonkey.com/r/LNQJVJJ
From Monday June 29 to July 8.
Thank you in advance for filling it!
