SUMMARY:10th Inter-Chamber Ski and Snowboard Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The 10th Anniversary Edition of the Inter-Chamber Ski & Snowboard Weekend (Hakuba\, Saturday\, 31 January) is open for registration at the event webpage of the Austrian Business Council (ABC). \nThis year\, we return to Hakuba\, Nagano\, as we did in in the first editions of this event. The event is open to everyone – chamber members or not! Bring your family\, friends\, business contacts – skiers\, snowboarders\, and winter lovers of all ages are welcome. \nJointly organized by the Chambers of Austria\, Belgium-Luxembourg\, Ireland\, Spain\, and Switzerland (with more to come)\, this event promises a diverse and international crowd. Typically\, half of the participants are locals and the other half from abroad\, creating a diverse mix and making for a great event.\nThe “race” is a friendly competition\, a simple giant slalom\, something to enjoy no matter whether you are an experienced or first time participant. We also always have a group for snowboarders! \n  \nEvent Schedule: \n\nSaturday 31 January 2026\nMorning: race\, afternoon: free skiing\, ski school\, or other winter activities\nEvening\, from 18:00 to 21:00: award ceremony and networking party\nWith around 100 participants including race participants\, their families and friends and business contacts\nSunday 1 February 2026\nfree skiing or book your ski school classes\n\nNote\nParticipation in the race or evening party is optional. You are welcome to join either or both. \n  \nAccommodation options\nWe have pre-booked rooms at the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel (the event hotel for the Saturday evening party). However\, there is a very limited number of rooms at the indicated rates and once gone\, they will – if available – offer rooms at their regular rates. \nWe also received another set of hotel recommendations listed on the event website under HHG – Multiple Hotels. Please note that the prices listed might not be available. DESCRIPTION:The BLCCJ is pleased to invite you to an outlook for 2026\, together with the CCI France Japon (CCIFJ) and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCJ). \nThis event will explore how Japan’s political and risk landscape is evolving in 2026\, combining policy analysis with a practitioner’s perspective. \nIt will first examine the impact of the new LDP–JIP (Ishin no Kai) coalition on Japan’s political direction and key policy areas affecting business\, including labour reform\, policies concerning foreign nationals\, social security\, and investment\, with insights ahead of the government’s forthcoming Basic Policy (Honebuto no Hoshin) announcement. \nThe discussion will then shift to how organisations can operate in an environment of constant volatility\, drawing on Risk Outlook 2026 to examine accelerating and converging risks\, from geopolitical fragmentation and cyber threats to extreme weather and resource constraints\, and to explore practical approaches to strengthening crisis readiness\, maintaining duty of care\, and building resilience in an increasingly unpredictable world. \n  \nSPEAKERS \nMr. Kazumoto Eguchi\nSenior Partner and Head of Government Relations\nKreab Tokyo \nAs head of public policy and government relations at Kreab Japan\, Kazumoto Eguchi helps clients navigate Japan’s policy landscape and build relationships with decision makers. He joined Kreab after spending a decade at the National Diet of Japan\, where he served as policy secretary for a number of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Diet members in the fields of finance\, energy\, foreign affairs\, transportation and ICT. Earlier in his career\, he was a senior researcher in US-Japan relations at the Johns Hopkins Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies in Washington D.C. \nMs. Noriko Takasaki\nLead Security Analyst\, North Asia\nInternational SOS Japan Ltd. \nNoriko Takasaki is the Lead Security Analyst for North Asia\, based in Tokyo\, responsible for operational and strategic security analysis. DESCRIPTION:We are happy to inform you of our first beer gathering of the year\, coming up on Monday 16 February.\nOur friends of the JBS (Japan-Belgium Society) will be joining us. \nWe will be going to member cafe Belgian Brasserie Court ANTWERP PORT. \nYou can find us there from 19:00 onwards.
