Description<\/u><\/p>\n

The Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Tokyo is looking for an assistant who will support the Luxembourg\u2019s economic promotion activities related to the Osaka Expo 2025.\u00a0 The job requires professional experiences\/skills in business, an excellent time management capabilities, event organizational skills and flexibility.\u00a0 Fluency in both English and Japanese is a must.\u00a0 The working place will first be in Tokyo at the Embassy of Luxembourg to Japan, but the assistant should spend substantial amount of time in Osaka from 2024 to 2025.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate will be offered a gross salary above 330.000 JPY, depending the experiences, with a generous paid holiday package, enrollment in \u201cKoseinenkin\u201d Pension and health insurance, and eventual costs incurred in relation to a temporary relocation to Osaka. \u00a0Other detailed conditions to be presented and discussed during the course of selection.<\/p>\n

The working hours are 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.\u00a0 The office is open Monday-Friday usually but the job may require working on weekends particularly during the Expo.<\/p>\n

The contract will be terminated at the end of 2025.\u00a0 If there will be a vacancy at that point, the assistant\u2019s candidature will be treated with priority.<\/p>\n

About Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office \u2013 Tokyo<\/u><\/p>\n

The Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office \u2013 Tokyo is an economic promotion body affiliated to the Ministry of the Economy of Luxembourg.\u00a0 It is a small office of 3 persons, integrated in the Embassy of Luxembourg in Tokyo, who aims at enhancing the bilateral economic exchange between Luxembourg and Japan.\u00a0 Its main activities are the attraction of Japanese companies\u2019 direct investment into Luxembourg as well as the support to Luxembourg companies who try to develop their businesses in Japan.\u00a0 By working here, the staff members can obtain working experiences to support cross-border trade and investment projects in various sectors, through interaction with companies\/institutions from Luxembourg and Japan.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Roles and responsibilities<\/u><\/p>\n

Assist the Executive Director or the assigned staff member and engage in administrative works;
\nUndertake research to understand market trends and find opportunities;
\nInteract with companies and economic organizations both in Luxembourg and in Japan;<\/p>\n

Disseminate information related to trade and investment promotion, including the ones provided by institutions, bodies and companies of Luxembourg via the Office\u2019s website and social media account;
\nMake translations;<\/p>\n

Support organizing trade and investment related events such as trade missions, investment seminar, Japanese investor\u2019s visits to Luxembourg, etc.<\/p>\n

Support companies form Luxembourg who aims at developing businesses in Japan;<\/p>\n

Perform other occasional official tasks assigned by the Executive Director.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Essential qualifications<\/u><\/p>\n

Higher education of university type or similar education;
\nLanguage skills: fluency in Japanese and English (reading, writing and speaking).\u00a0 Knowledge of French and\/or German is a plus.
\nComputer skills (MS Office software package, Social Media management tools);
\nKnowledge of rules of clerical work, document management and record-keeping, drafting documents for public administrations;
\nTeam working ability and interpersonal skills;
\nLeaving no doubt as to the person\u2019s credibility.<\/p>\n
