\u2022 Creating a network with key stakeholders such as businesses, research agencies and government in the relevant sectors
\n\u2022 Providing support to Flanders companies prospecting in Japan, including professional partner search and business matching
\n\u2022 Identifying and following up of inward invest opportunities (invest in Flanders by Japanese entities)
\n\u2022 Research of market info and relevant sectors
\n\u2022 Support to the Science and Technology Counsellor
\n\u2022 Database Management (CRM) & Knowledge Management
\n\u2022 Organization of professional events to actively promote Flanders, its companies and attract inward investment<\/p>\n

About FIT Tokyo:<\/p>\n

Flanders Investment & Trade, which is part of the Embassy of Belgium in Tokyo, is looking for an Technology Deputy (F\/M) with a passion for life sciences, digital technology, green energy and innovation. You will be working in a small team in close collaboration with the Science and Technology Counsellor.
\nBelgium is a key international economic player, ranked 13th in the world for both exports and imports. Flanders is one of its three autonomous regions and also the main economic driver of the country, with the city of Brussels as its capital.
\nFlanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the trade and invest promotion agency, for the region of Flanders. Our Tokyo office, within the Embassy of Belgium also houses the Science & Technology Office, one of 10 globally.
\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague who will be part of our small international team.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years relevant work experience – preferably in science related field
\n\u2022 A proficient knowledge and existing network in life sciences technology is an asset and a background or interest in digital tech and climate tech are appreciated
\n\u2022 Highly fluent in Japanese and English. Knowledge of Dutch or willingness to learn is appreciated but not a requirement
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft environment and applications (MS Office, Teams, CRM) and online media
\n\u2022 Hands-on, well organized, open communication, eye for detail and creativity are valued skills
\n\u2022 Team player: we are a small and inclusive team of 7 people, working closely together<\/p>\n
