Joining Forces on International Women\u2019s Day 2023 to #EmbraceEquity<\/strong><\/h2>\n

BLCCJ is proud to be marking International Women\u2019s Day 2023 with this #EmbraceEquity event, hosted in collaboration with the British (BCCJ), French (CCIFJ) and Spanish (SpCCJ) Chambers of Commerce in Japan.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

International Women\u2019s Day (IWD) \u2013 celebrated annually on March 8 \u2013 is a global initiative that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity in, among other places, the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year\u2019s global theme is\u00a0#EmbraceEquity<\/b>. Equity might look different for every organisation, depending on size and resources, which is why this year we are teaming up with three other foreign chambers of commerce in Japan to hear from cross-industry leaders of\u00a0very different backgrounds, on what it truly means to embrace equity within their organisations, and what processes they have in place to create the mindsets and practices needed to create an equitable workplace environment.<\/p>\n

As panelists we are pleased to invite\u00a0Anne-Lin Rey<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Sales Project Director \/ Head of Osaka Expo 2025,\u00a0GL Events<\/a>;\u00a0Hiroko Suzuki<\/b><\/a>, President & CEO,\u00a0Kyowa Industrial Co<\/a>;\u00a0Junko Kubokawa<\/strong><\/a>, CEO,\u00a0Croda Japan<\/a>\u00a0(and BCCJ\u00a0DEI taskforce head);\u00a0Natalia<\/strong>\u00a0Sanz Lavi\u00f1a<\/b><\/a>, CEO,\u00a0YSLA Architects<\/a>\u00a0(10 years working with Kengo Kuma);\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Tomoyo Hiraoka<\/a><\/strong>, VP, Chief HR Officer,\u00a0Mitsubishi Chemical Group<\/a>. Moderator will be\u00a0Regis Arnaud<\/strong>, journalist and Editor in chief, France Japon Eco.\u00a0They\u00a0will\u00a0share their insights on the topic, acknowledging the work already being done in organisations and communities to respond to workplace inequities, and addressing what the key roles are for individuals, corporates and governments in pushing the agenda forward and taking the strides needed to truly advance gender equity in the future.<\/p>\n
