{"id":19574,"date":"2026-01-14T12:27:01","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T03:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blccj.or.jp\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=19574"},"modified":"2026-01-27T16:28:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T07:28:15","slug":"outlook-2026","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/blccj.or.jp\/ja\/events\/outlook-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Outlook 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BLCCJ is pleased to invite you to an\u00a0<strong>outlook for 2026<\/strong>, together with the CCI France Japon (CCIFJ) and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCJ).<\/p>\n<p>This event will explore how\u00a0<strong>Japan\u2019s political and risk landscape<\/strong>\u00a0is evolving in 2026, combining policy analysis with a practitioner\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p>It will first examine the impact of the\u00a0<strong>new LDP\u2013JIP (Ishin no Kai) coalition<\/strong>\u00a0on Japan\u2019s political direction and key policy areas affecting business, including labour reform, policies concerning foreign nationals, social security, and investment, with insights ahead of the government\u2019s forthcoming\u00a0<strong>Basic Policy (Honebuto no Hoshin)\u00a0<\/strong>announcement.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion will then shift to how organisations can operate in an environment of constant volatility, drawing on\u00a0<strong>Risk Outlook 2026\u00a0<\/strong>to examine accelerating and converging risks, from geopolitical fragmentation and cyber threats to extreme weather and resource constraints, and to explore practical approaches to strengthening crisis readiness, maintaining duty of care, and building resilience in an increasingly unpredictable world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPEAKERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Kazumoto Eguchi<br \/>\n<\/strong>Senior Partner and Head of Government Relations<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/kreab.com\/tokyo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/kreab.com\/tokyo\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1768975113851000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1h3Rq8VBR8wz_jNHPEEFoe\">Kreab Tokyo<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>As head of public policy and government relations at Kreab Japan, Kazumoto Eguchi helps clients navigate Japan\u2019s policy landscape and build relationships with decision makers. He joined Kreab after spending a decade at the National Diet of Japan, where he served as policy secretary for a number of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Diet members in the fields of finance, energy, foreign affairs, transportation and ICT. Earlier in his career, he was a senior researcher in US-Japan relations at the Johns Hopkins Reischauer Center for East Asian Studies in Washington D.C.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ms. Noriko Takasaki<\/strong><br \/>\nLead Security Analyst, North Asia<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalsos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.internationalsos.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1768975113851000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1v5uEMXyRs-e_N0EadIv1r\">International SOS Japan Ltd.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Noriko Takasaki is the Lead Security Analyst for North Asia, based in Tokyo, responsible for operational and strategic security analysis.
