Every four seconds, another person falls victim to modern slavery. With over 50 million individuals currently enslaved, this issue is more critical than ever, especially for the business community.

In this engaging session, Matt Friedman, CEO of the Mekong Club, will address the evolving landscape of modern slavery and human trafficking worldwidehighlighting key global trends and patterns that impact businesses. He will provide insights on recent legislative changes and their implications for the private sector, as well as discuss the relationship between modern slavery and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.

Additionally, Matt will explore human rights due diligence in connection to modern slavery, the prevalence of modern slavery in the private sector along with contributing factors, and practical tools and strategies that corporations are employing to combat this pressing issue.
