Coming June 2025, Belgian pianist and composer Daniel Verstappen will be touring Japan, including performances at the World Expo.

Key Highlights:

• Wednesday 18 June: Expo Osaka, outdoor stage near the Belgian Pavilion, as part of Flanders Day (Flanders Week), with the presence of Minister-President Matthias Diependaele. Organized by Fit Flanders (Belgium-Japan)
• Sunday 22 June at 6pm: Sunset Hall Osaka (located near the Expo)

To foster cultural exchange and build a bridge between Belgium and Japan, Mr. Verstappen will perform in a duo with the renowned local musician Seimo Yamaguchi, based in Osaka. Yamaguchi, a master of the shakuhachi (one of Japan’s most iconic traditional instruments), will bring a unique musical experience to the stage.

Blending classical elegance with contemporary innovation, Daniel Verstappen has performed at major international events, including at the World Expo in Dubai in front of the Belgian King and Queen, at the JIO World Centre in Mumbai in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid, and alongside world-class artists like Andrea Bocelli, Ennio Morricone, and Hans Zimmer.

Starting his piano journey at the age of 5, Daniel’s mission is to connect generations and highlight the classical piano in modern and innovative ways, inspiring young audiences worldwide.
His Reconnection World Tour, based on his previous album, has taken him across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA, with performances at renowned concert halls like The Kennedy Center (Washington), Carnegie Hall (New York), Sydney Opera House, Harpa (Iceland), Rudolfinum (Prague), Auckland Town Hall, and Luxembourg Philharmonie.

With his unique shows that blend piano acoustics, electronics, other musicians, and visuals, Daniel Verstappen has also performed at high-profile international events and festivals, such as Tomorrowland, Astoria Waldorf, BMW, Mercedes, Ruinart, Moët & Chandon, and various diplomatic celebrations including the Belgium EU Presidency.
