EU-Funded Business Mission to Japan and South Korea (2026-2027)

The EU Business Hub – Japan and the Republic of Korea is an EU – funded programme that helps EU companies active in the green and low-carbon technologies, digital solutions, and healthcare and medical equipment sectors to enter the two Asian markets by organising business missions to Japan and to the Republic of Korea between 2024 and 2027.
The programme is currently inviting EU companies to participate in the upcoming business missions:
Digital Solutions & Semiconductors:
- EU Business Hub @ Semicon Japan 2026, from 7 – 11 December 2026, in Tokyo. Application deadline: 11 September
Renewable energy:
- EU Business Hub @ Korea Smart Grid Expo, from 31 Jan. – 4 Feb. 2027, in Seoul. Application deadline: 30 October.
- EU Business Hub @ Smart Energy Week Spring 2027, from 22 – 26 March 2027, in Tokyo. Application deadline: 27 November.
Healthcare and Medical Equipment:
- EU Business Hub @ KIMES 2027, from 17 – 21 March 2027, in Seoul. Application deadline: 15 November.
Each business mission will select up to 50 European SMEs and start-ups to kick-start their internationalisation path, with all the benefits offered by the programme:
- Hotel accommodation for four nights – in total, up to €1,000 for accommodation is covered by the programme (1 room/company for 4 nights)
- Financial support for additional customised services co-funded by the project (e.g. translation, printing, legal advice, booth decoration covered for 80% and up to €1,000).
- Coverage of the exhibitor fee.
- Business matchmaking resulting in pre-arranged in-person meetings with carefully selected enterprises in South Korea/ Japan.
- Market intelligence including sectoral briefings providing valuable insights on market structure and potential opportunities.
- Cultural and linguistic support such as briefings on doing business in South Korea/ Japan and support for interpretation and translation.
