EU-Funded Business Missions to Japan and South Korea (spring 2026)
ShareThe EU – funded programme EU Business Hub – Japan and the Republic of Korea helps EU companies active in the green and low-carbon technologies, digital solutions, and healthcare and medical equipment sectors to enter the two Asian markets by organising business missions to Japan and to the Republic of Korea until 2027.
The programme is currently inviting EU companies to participate in the upcoming business missions:
- EU Business Hub @ KIMES 2026,
- From 18-22 March 2026, in Seoul.
- Healthcare and Medical Equipment Sector
- Application deadline: 10 November 2025
- EU Business Hub @ Smart Energy Week Spring 2026,
- From 15- 19 March 2026, in Tokyo.
- Renewable Energy Sector
- Application deadline: 28 November 2025
These business missions will select up to 50 European SMEs to visit the Republic of Korea/Japan to kick-start their internationalisation path in Asia, with all the benefits offered by the programme:
- Hotel accommodation for four nights – in total, up to €1,000 for accommodation is covered by the programme (1 room/company for 4 nights)
- Financial support for additional customised services co-funded by the project (e.g. translation, printing, legal advice, booth decoration covered for 80% and up to €1,000).
- Coverage of the exhibitor fee at KIMES 2026/ SMART ENERGY WEEK SPRING 2026
- Business matchmaking resulting in pre-arranged in-person meetings with carefully selected enterprises in the Republic of Korea/Japan.
- Market intelligence including sectoral briefings providing valuable insights on market structure and potential opportunities.
- Cultural and linguistic support such as briefings on doing business in RoK/Japan and support for interpretation and translation.
