Tax Measures of the Belgian Arizona Government
Expected impact for bilateral Belgium-Japan trade and investments

On 3 February 2025, the new Belgian Arizona Government took office. The government agreement contained plans on reforms of labor market, pensions and taxation. The new Belgian Government has already introduced a series of new tax measures and is still working on the introduction of other tax measures agreed upon in the government agreement, including the introduction of a new capital gains tax on financial assets.
The main features of these new tax measures and their expected impact will be explained and discussed during this business talk.

The talk will be followed by a casual networking, giving you the opportunity to discuss directly with Wim and his colleague Virginie De Brabandt, and mingle with the other guests over some drinks and snacks.

 About the speaker:

Wim Eynatten is an International Tax Partner of Deloitte Belgium and is based in the Brussels office. He is a certified Tax Consultant. Wim has almost 30 years of experience in corporate international tax and combines many years at a Big4 organisation with relevant experience in a Magic Circle law firm. He leads Deloitte’s Japanese Business Taxation Europe (JBTE) team and he also leads the Japanese Services Group in Belgium. He has many Japanese clients in various industries and assists them with their Belgian domestic and cross-border tax issues as well as Belgian tax compliance. Wim is Chairman of the Legal & Tax Committee of the Belgian-Japan Association and Chamber of Commerce (BJA) and he is also a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of BJA. In this capacity he works closely with BJA member companies, the Belgian government, employers, employee associations and all business in Belgium in view of improving the overall climate for doing business in Belgium.
