Rooted in Belgium, imec is the world’s leading independent nanoelectronics R&D hub. The combination of their talent, infrastructure, and partner network enables breakthroughs towards microchips that are smaller, faster, more affordable, and more sustainable. imec combines that nanotech expertise with data and AI to create and support applications for a smarter, better future.

A few years back imec partnered with Japanese chip manufacturer Rapidus, and there are plans to build a base in Hokkaido. So how important is Japan to imec, what are the future projects here? How does imec position itself towards the big(ger) Japanese players in the field? And what are some specific applications of the imec chips?

Join us for an insightful presentation by Keith Ito, Representative Director imec Japan and Head of Strategic Partnership Japan (bio attached).
