160th anniversary of Japan-Belgium relations

2026 marks the 160th anniversary of Belgium-Japan friendship relations!

You can find information on the celebrations, official words from Japanese and Belgian officials, the list of events (which will be updated as more events are being organized), and a list of the sponsors.

Currently the following BLCCJ events are recognized as an official 160th anniversary events:

• Book presentation “Japan and the World” by Professor Dimitri Vanoverbeke: Tuesday 26 May, 16:00-18:00 @ University of Tokyo
• Belgian Beer and Food Academy in Osaka: Wednesday 2 September, 18:30-22:00 @ Hilton Osaka
