Member news + news COVID-19 (May 21)
ShareIn this newsletter we would like to focus on a few initiatives of member companies:
-Flagship member Puratos launched the Cacao-Trace programme, a sustainable cocoa sourcing programme.
What sets our sustainable cocoa sourcing programme apart, is that our main focus is on taste and creating value for everyone, from the cocoa farmers to your customers, through taste improvement. The proof of the programme is in the tasting, and in the improved quality of life for cocoa farmers.
-Related to COVID-19, flagship member Godiva Japan launched Project Pink Van, delivering chocolates to hospitals, doctors and nurses fighting the virus.
-The 3D printed door knobs of member company Materialise are catching on in Japan as well.
-And professional member Triple-A Management is now importing new and revolutionary hand-sanitizers for public spaces and crowded areas.
The disinfection device made in Belgium is already a huge success in Belgium, with hundreds of machines sold to all Decathlon shops, several hospitals, supermarkets, factories, gas stations, post offices and ward offices.
In Japan our intention is to approach large retail chains, high-end shops, building owners, public institutions, town and ward offices, train and subway stations, post offices, etc.
The technology has been patented, and has obtained the EU certification (tested and approved by world-renowned testing organisation SGS).
If you feel like catching up with other BLCCJ members, we will have another online beer gathering on Monday 25 May. Sign up now by sending an email to: info@blccj.or.jp
Related to this, you can now order the BBW 2020 glass online! Furthermore the BBW Home website offers the possibility to order Belgian beers (from BLCCJ member importers!), try out Belgian recipes and listen to Belgian music.
