The evening will start with a short presentation introducing the JMEC program—what participants can expect, how the program works, and how taking part can help them grow both professionally and personally.

Participants will discover how to build a business plan, strengthen their resilience and leadership skills, and receive coaching and guidance from experienced business experts they would not normally have access to. They will also gain first-hand insight into what it takes to think and act like an entrepreneur, while developing practical skills they can apply to their careers and business ideas.

This is what some of our alumni say:

“JMEC opened up for me a world I had never had access to before. The JMEC community is a place where people think positively and constantly challenge what is possible.”
Lindsey Rogerson, CEO & Founder, Bright Ocean Marketing

“I’m running my own small business now – probably wouldn’t have been able to do that without JMEC.”
Matt Kish, Founder & Director, Tokyo Learning Lab

“JMEC was a turning point for me. Before joining, I had no formal business knowledge. The program gave me the core skills in market research, business planning, and strategy, building my confidence to turn ideas into real businesses.”
Kyoko Nagano, CEO & Founder of Sake Lovers Inc, and 2 other businesses

You’ll also hear directly from JMEC alumni about their experiences, what they learned from the program, and how JMEC has contributed to their professional growth.

This will be followed by a networking session, giving you the opportunity to meet other young professionals working in Japan, exchange ideas and make new connections in an informal setting.

Whether you are considering joining JMEC or simply interested in learning more about the program and connecting with fellow young professionals, we would be delighted to have you join us.

Please note that places are limited, so registration is required.

We look forward to seeing you at Meltwater!
