Dear members and friends,

Our next WEBINAR is another joint effort with Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT).

“Venture Capital in Japan – new opportunities for foreign startups”

When foreign startups are looking for additional capital, not only USA or Europe should be on their radar, also Japan has become an interesting capital venture country in recent years. During this webinar 3 speakers will give us an insight on what’s currently moving in the venture capital market in Japan.

Our first speaker will be Mr. Gregory Van Bellinghen, Managing Partner, Toppako Capital. He will sketch some broad dynamics of the Venture Capital landscape, how cross-border funds fit into that picture, and share his experience co-investing with Japanese and Asian strategic investors.

Doing business in Japan could be a big challenge in many aspects. Second speaker Alex Odajima, CEO of EDGEof Innovation, will explain you the fundamentals of the Japanese business culture and give you some tips to help you deal with Japanese corporate.

Third speaker will be Yuin Tei, Ventures Associate, Fintech at Plug and Play Japan. He will discuss the market trend of venture investing in Japan and how European startups can leverage their network.
