Women in Business in Japan

Dear members and friends,
The BLCCJ is gladly inviting you to a next webinar:
“Women in Business in Japan”
Nearly two decades ago, Japan set a goal of having women occupy 30% of management posts by 2020. However, the ratio remains virtually unchanged, yearly climbing just 0.1 point to about 8% as-of-now. And due to the COVID-19 crisis it seems that momentum for promoting women has lost even more steam.
We invite you to an online panel discussion with 3 women in top positions in Japan who will share their view on working in a male-dominated environment, the challenges to climb up the ladder, the differences they experienced in other cultures, and the lessons that can be learned.
Our 3 speakers will be:
–Ms. Seema Bhayat, Head of Private Banking Japan, Lombard Odier Group (and Swiss Chamber Board Member)
–Ms. Mariko Magnan, Founder and CEO, TPO Inc.
–Ms. Motoko Kuze, Senior ESG Advisor, General Manager, RepRisk Japan
You can find their bios in the attachment.
Opening words will be given by Ambassador de Bilderling, the first female Belgian Ambassador to Japan.
