After a long hot summer, we hope you are enjoying the cooler fall temperatures.
For our office fall means many events, including our Gala and the Nippon Export Award!

 

BLCCJ EVENTS:

-Our Gala Early Bird Campaign is coming to an end soon!!
If you want to benefit from a JPY 2,000 pp discount, make sure to register by Monday 30 September.
If you are still undecided, no worries, we still accept registations until 11 November OR when seats are full (we are closing in on 200 guests, maximum number is 250).

This year’s Gala is scheduled for Friday 22 November, 18:30-23:00 @ Conrad Tokyo, and will focus on the history of Belgium and Luxembourg at the World Expos.

Furthermore, we are looking for raffle prizes – deadline for sponsorship is 7 November.

And we are looking for students that want to help with raffle sales.

-We are excited to inform that this year we received 9 applications for our Nippon Export Award 2024-2025!
The past weeks the BLCCJ task force made a pre-selection of 4 finalists: congratulations to Artec 3D Japan, Barco, The Cookware Company and UCB Japan!
They will compete at the NEA jury session on Tuesday 1 October.
May the best one win!!

NEWS FROM and FOR THE MEMBERS:

-The BLCCJ Starters, our young professionals group, are launching a Mentoring Program. You can find more details on our website (also check out the BLCCJ Starters Facebook page).

-From this year onwards, the Belgian Embassy has suggested to no longer solicit member companies’ financial contributions for a Belgian King’s Day special in English newspapers. We want to thank all the BLCCJ member companies who joined our King’s Day ad in the past. Many other opportunities to express public support to the BLCCJ and/or the Embassy throughout the year remain available.

-BLCCJ flagship member Barco has been selected as visualization partner for the Belgian Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.

-And BLCCJ member company Ney & Partners is part of the team constructing the Luxembourg Pavilion.

-BLCCJ member company Tokusen (Belgian gin BUSS) is taking part in the 2nd “Belgian Gin & Spirits” event in Nakameguro, still running until 30 September

-We are happy to announce that our LinkedIn page has gained over 1,000 followers since its launch last year!

-The Flanders Investment & Trade Tokyo office is looking for a Technology Deputy – you can apply until 30 September

-The 5th edition of the Expat Expo Tokyo will take place on 8 and 9 November at Hamamatsucho-kan
